Volunteer

We Couldn’t Do It Without You!
Volunteers are absolutely essential to the day-to-day operations – and the ultimate success – of the Delray Beach Public Library. Our volunteers are true partners, helping to foster a love of learning and providing a welcoming and knowledgeable experience for all library patrons.
The library is a trusted and engaging place to visit, thanks in large part to the generous spirit and dedication of our volunteers, who are involved in a wide range of library operations – from administrative tasks to circulation support, greeting patrons, shelving books and assisting with the diverse programs offered throughout the year

Teen Volunteers
In addition to accruing service hours by attending our YA Programs, teens can also do some small tasks such as shelving and helping with small projects.
You can begin the process of becoming a volunteer by taking the following steps:
- Fill out a Teen Volunteer Form and return it either in-person, or by emailing it to Natalie.baron@delraylibrary.org.
- Sign up for Remind by texting @dbplt to 81010 so that you never miss an announcement.
- Register for the Teen Advisory Board meetings; you must attend every meeting or secure an excused absence by the YA librarian in order to stay active.
During TAB meetings, we go over the volunteer rules, discuss how to redeem your service hours, and elect officer positions at the end of every season.
If you have any questions or comments, you can reach out to our Young Adult librarian directly by emailing her at Natalie.baron@delraylibrary.org.
We hope to see you at the library soon!
