17 Jul Summer Reading List: Mid-2017 Hump
How is the summer (let alone 2017) already halfway over?! Is it just us, or has time really been flying by this year…
This week, we are recommending some easy summer beach reads so you can continue to unwind after the mid-July hump.
Travel to India with A House for Happy Mothers by Amulya Malladi. This novel follows two women that discover the best and worst of India’s rising surrogacy industry. Malladi bridges continents and cultures, and tells a story of renewed hope. This uplifting read is the perfect getaway for those who want to travel their mind across the world.
For a mind vacation not quite so far away, Eight Hundred Grapes by Laura Dave takes place in the beautiful, lush wine country of Sonoma, California. In this novel, Georgia Ford learns some important secrets on her family’s vineyard just a mere week before her wedding. This novel pulls at your heartstrings in the most charming way.
Young adults, we have not forgotten about you! We definitely suggest starting the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy. These stories focus on young Lara Jean. She has written love letters to the all the boys she has ever loved and kept them in a hat box, until one day all the letters are accidentally mailed out. We won’t give away much more, but the summer is definitely the time to pick up the first book to this trilogy if you haven’t started it already!
As we pass the midpoint of 2017, we want to remind everyone to not forget about your yearly goals! Whether it be reading goals or personal, we hope you make the best out of the rest of this year.
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” – C.S. Lewis
