Library on the Go
Service to the Community
Throughout history public libraries have been beacons of hope, pillars of education and engines of growth. Libraries have maintained their relevance by adapting to meet their communities’ ever-changing needs.
In recent years, the Delray Beach Public Library has responded by providing access to vital technology as well as professional training on how to use it. We have created safe spaces for area youth to learn and grow and have facilitated important community conversations.
Never Stop Moving Forward!
As part of our ongoing efforts to narrow the digital divide and promote life-changing literacy skills, the library even delivers books, technology and a connection to valuable library services directly to high-need neighborhoods in Delray Beach. Our Library on the Go, a technology-enabled golf cart, can often be seen in and around the community, bringing educational programs, critical resources and caring professionals to local parks, schools, community centers and after-care centers.
Essentially, our Library on the Go is a satellite branch on wheels! To see where we will be popping up next, be sure to check out our calendar of events.
If you would like to schedule a visit from our Mobile Express “branch” or for more information on Delray Beach Public Library’s Mobile Express/Library on the Go program, please contact Kae Jonsons, director of development and community relations, at: (561) 266-0798 or Kae.Jonsons@DelrayLibrary.org.
