Large Format Printing
Bring Your Ideas to Life—In Bold, Full Color!
Today’s large format printing technology offers countless opportunities in both business development and creative expression. Whether you’re designing eye-catching posters, banners, signs, or presentation materials, you can explore the possibilities with the help of the Delray Beach Public Library and its large format printer.
Step 1: Design
What do you want to print?
You’ll need more than just an idea—you’ll need a completed design saved as a digital file (PDF or JPG are recommended formats). Creating a high-quality design may require graphic design or layout software such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or Microsoft Publisher. If you’re new to large format printing, beginner-friendly design tools like Canon PosterArtist or Canva are great places to start. You can also find templates and inspiration from online sources.
Please keep in mind that your design must fit within the dimensions of our large format printer, which can accommodate prints up to 24 inches wide and up to several feet long, depending on the project. At this time, printing is limited to single-sided, full-color on standard economy paper or photo paper, depending on availability.
You may request one large format print job per week to ensure fair access to the service.
• Hot Tip: Always save a copy of your final design. The file you submit to the library will be deleted after printing is complete.

Step 2: Submitting Your Design
To submit your completed design for printing, you’ll need to complete a submission form as well as a design file (.jpg or .pdf). Requests for printing are processed on a first come, first served basis.
When we receive your request, we will prepare it for printing. A copy of the print preview, including the cost estimate, will be sent to your email. Once you have confirmed that you would like to proceed, we’ll schedule your project and printing will begin.
If, for some reason, we can’t fulfill the print job you requested, we’ll send you an email with a brief explanation.
Please note the Large Format Printing Terms of Services.
Step 3: Picking Up Your Project
You’ll receive an email notifying you when your project has been printed and is ready for pickup. Completed projects will be held at the Circulation Desk on the library’s main floor. All costs are due at the time of pickup.
You’ll have 7 days after the completion email is sent to pick up your project. Printed items not picked up within 7 days become the property of the library.
Printing Costs
The cost of Large Format printing is based on the square footage of the final object.
- The cost printing on standard economy paper is $0.03/sq ft.
- The cost printing on premium photo paper is $0.05/sq ft.
If your project fails to fully print, you will still be liable for payment, unless the problem was a result of mechanical failure or errors in the printing process on our end. If you aren’t satisfied with the color, scale, quality, design or any other pre-selected option under your control, you can revise your design and submit a new print request, but you will be required to pay for both print runs.
Print Submission Form
Please note: All projects will be printed using a standard economy paper unless otherwise requested.
