How to Virtually Participate in Teen Read Day
Please join the event about 15 minutes prior to ensure your technology and setup are working.
Zoom:
Download Zoom and create an account if you do not already have one. a. Download Zoom with this link: https://zoom.us/download
If you have a Zoom account, log into it with your username and password. a. Click “Join Meeting” and enter the Meeting ID and then the Password sent to you when you registered for the program. b. If you don’t have it, or lost it, email us and a staff member can get it for you: delraybeachpubliclibrary@gmail.com
If you do not have a Zoom account or cannot download Zoom, you can watch from the Internet. a. Click the link provided in your registration, a webpage will open. b. Any pop-up boxes that come up during these steps asking to download Zoom, close out of them. c. At the bottom click “launch meeting”. d. The webpage will change slightly and at the bottom click “join from your browser”. e. You should have access to the same features as those using the Zoom software. You will not need access to a webcam or microphone with this event if you do not have one on your computer. f. No matter if you are joining with the Zoom program or through the Internet, you will be let into a virtual waiting room. Please wait there until you are let in.
Once you are in, you will be in view only mode. The host may unmute you during a session to ask a question.
You may have already sent your questions ahead of time, if so, great! If not, you can send them in the Q&A box. We will attempt to answer as many questions as we can during the allotted time.
Sit back and enjoy the session, do not forget to fill out the feedback form that will be emailed to you after the event.
