Something For Everyone!
For Children
Nurturing each child’s curiosity, creativity and infinite potential.
Children’s Services provide a variety of materials and programs for children, their families, and educators to ignite curiosity, fuel discovery, and encourage creativity. From early literacy to independent readers, programs and activities are designed to encourage a love of reading and learning.
Tweens, ages 10-12, enjoy age-appropriate programs and materials. They also have a special space called the Tween Cove helping them transition to the teen years. These programs are funded by the library’s funders and donors.
FREE online homework help and tutoring is available with your library card.
BrainFuse HelpNow – Homework
Free homework help is available for students in grades K-12. There is also an Adult Learning Center.
For Teens
We know what teens want – a place of their own, with no adults looking over the shoulders! If you are age 13 to 17, that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Delray Beach Public Library. Our exclusive Teen Room is a sunny space with four computers, study tables and plenty of seating. Best of all, no adults are allowed!
The Teen Room is just the beginning. The library has a designated Teen Department that hosts a variety of both entertaining and educational programs. Check out our program listings, or join the department’s Remind group to stay up-to-date on news, programs, and volunteer opportunities by texting @dbplteens to 81010.
We also offer volunteer opportunities for teens who want to earn community service hours, develop professional skills and meet other teens.
And don’t forget, your Delray Beach Public Library card gives you 24/7 access to a host of resources, including:
Including graphic novels, books and movies!
