Join the Delray Beach Police Department and the Delray Beach Public Library for Books & Badges, a special holiday reading program bringing children, families, police officers, and our community together through books, conversation, and holiday traditions. 

Each Monday will celebrate a different holiday: 

Nov 30: Hanukkah
Dec 7: Christmas
Dec 14: Kwanzaa 

Children will receive a free, age-appropriate book connected to that week’s holiday theme to take home and enjoy. Delray Beach police officers will spend time reading, talking, and interacting with the children, and Leo, the Delray Beach Police Department’s therapy dog, will be there for children to meet and read with too! 

Books & Badges is designed to celebrate reading, introduce children to different holiday traditions, and create positive connections between our officers, our library and the families we serve—all in a fun and welcoming environment at the library. 

Come for a story, leave with a book, and celebrate the season with us!
