
The Delray Beach Public Library's Board President, John K. Burke is pleased to announce that prominent community members Michael Listick, Lori Julian Murphy, & Sarah E. Flynn have joined the Library Board of Directors.
Michael Listick is from Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy at the University of Illinois. He received his J.D., Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Northwestern University Law School. Mr. Listick gives back to the community by providing free legal services to many houses of worship and non- profit civic organizations in the Delray Beach area. He has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, has served as the Chairman of the Downtown Development Authority twice and has served as Chairman of the Downtown Marketing Cooperative twice. Listick became interested in the new Library building at 100 West Atlantic Avenue, when he was asked to help the Library negotiate agreements with the City and County, regarding the parking lot.
Lori Julian-Murphy is from Utica, New York and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance from Niagara University. She has been a resident of Florida for more than 26 years. Ms. Murphy is currently First Vice President at SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. and is a Private Financial Advisor serving as a member of the Private Wealth Management team. She is a Certified Retirement Counselor and has been a Financial Advisor for 26 years. Murphy became interested in joining the Library Board in order to help children and seniors. She is a member of the Medical Specialty Group of SunTrust and works with the doctors of the Palm Beach Medical Society as a sponsor. She is actively involved with the Lupus Foundation and other community organizations.
Sarah E. Flynn - is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Journalism School and attended New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies for Tourism/Marketing. She has worked in public relations and marketing for over 20 years in South Florida. Her varied career includes serving as: Promotions Director, Liberties Fine Books & Music, Boca Raton; Palm Beach County Public Relations representative, South Florida Sun-Sentinel; and Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach. In 2005, Ms. Flynn began Willcaro Communications LLC, a firm specializing in public relations and event management services for businesses and non-profit organizations. She is an active volunteer in the community through her involvement as: Member, Board of Directors, Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton; Member, Destination Delray Beach Task Force Board and Marketing Committee Chairman.
