The Delray Beach Public Library located at 100 West Atlantic Avenue is pleased to announce
that it has added Dial-A-Story to its’ many programs for children. This new feature is safe,
free, educational and an entertaining activity for your children if you can’t make it to one
of the many Story times and children’s activities at the Library. This is something you can do
easily from the comfort of your own home and all you need is a telephone.Have you ever been in a store, a doctor’s office or at home with a sick child? With Dial-A-Story in your speed dial, you can entertain your child or grandchild with a fairytale or fable whenever you want it. Isn't this a great way to entertain children or grandchildren for a few moments during their time at home?
Any day of the year, any time of the day, you, your child or grandchild can call the Library’s Dial-A-Story at 561-243-2601 and listen to a recorded folk tale, short story, fairytale or myth. Each story is approximately three - five minutes in length and the stories will be updated weekly so new stories can be listened to often. The first story on the schedule beginning May 2 – 8 is: The Tortoise and the Hare.
