The Delray Beach Public Library recently held its' prestigious 13th Annual Author's Showcase.
The authors participating in this years' program were:
1. Elaine Bossik - "The Last Victim"- Fiction (Boynton Beach)
2. Dr. Jeffrey Braun -"The Secret of the Just" - Fiction (Delray Beach)
3. Dr. Gerald Chodak - "Winning the Battle Against Prostate Cancer"- Non-Fiction (Highland Beach)
4. Georgene S. Dreishpoon - "Pursuit of Paradise: Memoir of a Bahama Mama"- Non- Fiction (Boynton Beach)
5. Pesi Dinnerstein - " A Cluttered Life"- Non-Fiction (Deerfield Beach)
6. Steven M. Forman - "Boca Daze"- Fiction (Boca Raton)
7. Robert Levinson & Zelda Luxenborg - "Full Circle...A Love Story" - Non-Fiction (Delray Beach)
8. Bea Lewis - "My Kids Are All Grown Up, So Why Are They Still Driving Me Crazy"- Non-Fiction (Boynton Beach)
9. Cora Lee Palma-Hayden -- "A Touch of Venus-Wedding Planning with the Bridal Zodiac" - Non-Fiction (Boynton Beach)
10. Ina H. Steinberg, Ph.D. - "The Parsifal Moment" - Fiction (Plantation)
11. Rose Mary Stiffin, Ph.D. -- "Walk in Bethel"- Fiction (Miami Gardens)
12. Alan Theodore - "Mr. Dickens & the Time Travelers"- Fiction (Delray Beach)
At this free event, a crowd of over 150 people listened intently as the selected authors spoke about their books. After this portion the audience was able to meet the authors personally and purchase their autographed books. The selections included fiction, non-fiction, books for teens and poetry. There was a wide variety of styles to match everyone's reading tastes and the afternoon was a huge success!
This event is held each year during National Book Month in January. The next event will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013. All authors who have written a book 2011- 2012 are welcome to submit their entry to the Delray Beach Public Library for consideration.
