The Library is located at 100 West Atlantic Avenue and Library Association members and guests were invited to attend. The Guest Speaker for the evening was Jonathon King, Edgar award-winning author, journalist and former police and court reporter.A business meeting started off the proceedings with Library Board President John Burke discussing the state-of-the-Library, followed by the Treasurers' report given by Nancy Dockerty. The re-election of Board members and the nomination of new Board members followed. After the vote on new and returning Board members, the Library Director, Alan Kornblau gave the Librarian's Report and his vision for the future of the Delray Beach Public Library. He also discussed plans for the Laugh with the Library, Chapter 6 Comedy Night fundraiser that will take place on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Delray Beach Marriott at 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and Co-Chairpersons Heidi Sargeant and Becky Walsh, Library Board members, promise a fun-filled evening of food, drink, casual attire and more!
